Cancellation
I understand that unexpected circumstances occasionally arise that may require cancellations or rescheduling. However, as a tutor, my income depends on scheduled lessons, and last-minute cancellations impact my ability to fill that time with another student.
The Cancellation Fee
Therefore, if you fail to attend a scheduled lesson, you may be required to pay the cancellation fee (equal to the full cost of the lesson). This policy outlines the terms for such situations to ensure clarity and fairness for both of us, while aiming to provide a reasonable amount of flexibility.

When does the cancellation fee apply?
If you cancel with less than 48 hours' notice, the cancellation fee will be charged.
For prepaid lessons, your payment will be applied toward this cancellation fee.
If you are late and fail to notify me of this within the first 15 minutes of the scheduled lesson time, I will consider it a no-show, end the session, and the cancellation fee will be charged.
If you arrive late to your lesson, we will end at the originally scheduled time and the full lesson cost will be charged.
When does the cancellation fee not apply?
If you cancel your lesson with at least 48 hours' notice, no fee will be charged.
For prepaid lessons, your payment will be credited toward your next scheduled lesson.
If I (the tutor) need to cancel for any reason, no fee will be charged.
If I am late to your lesson, I will either extend the lesson time to make up for the delay (if possible) or reduce the fee proportionally, based on your preference.
If you are unable to attend due to an error on my part, no fee will be charged.
In cases of emergency or unforeseen circumstances, I may waive the cancellation fee at my discretion. Please notify me of these as soon as possible.
Can I reschedule cancelled lessons?
Rescheduling cancelled lessons within the same week as the cancelled lesson may be possible but is subject to my availability.
Otherwise, the next lesson will take place at your next available scheduled slot.
Rescheduled lessons do not automatically waive any applicable cancellation fees.
All cancellation policies apply to rescheduled lessons as well.
Additional Terms
All cancellation fees must be paid by the end of the week in which the lesson was cancelled.
Failure to pay any cancellation fee may result in postponement or termination of future lessons.
Any unused credits from prepaid or cancelled lessons will be refunded in full if they cannot be applied to future lessons.
